Maziar Mortezaei

Maziar graduated with Highest Distinction from York University, with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology in 2016.

In 2020, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa’s Common Law program, with a focus in dispute resolution and professional responsibility. In law school, Maziar was an active member of the student body and often contributed to the legal community, both inside and outside the University. During his second year, Maziar was a caseworker for Legal Aid Ontario and provided legal services to low-income families. During his third-year, Maziar was a writing leader for the University of Ottawa’s Legal Writing Academy where he held peer conferences and seminars for his colleagues. In addition, Maziar was an associate editor and a Senior Editor of the Ottawa Law Review during the last two years of his studies.

In his free time, Maziar enjoys playing soccer, going to the gym, cooking traditional Persian food, and spending time with friends and family.

Gula Essipov

Gula attended York University. She is a licensed paralegal and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Gula has over 15 years of experience in the area of personal injury.

Alon Rooz graduated with Distinction from York University in 1994. In 1997, he obtained his law degree and he was called to the bar in 1999. He has focused on practicing personal injury law.

Alon Rooz graduated with Distinction from York University with a Bachelor of Administrative Studies (Business Degree) in 1994. In 1997, he received his Bachelor of Laws from The University of Western Ontario, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999.

Ever since receiving his law degree, he has focused on practicing personal injury law. His hard work and commitment to his clients have earned him a reputation of being a strong advocate for his client’s rights with whom insurers prefer not to fight against.

Over his many years of practice, he has obtained superior compensation for thousands of accident victims for pain and suffering. losses, expenses and other damages.
Alon successfully represented numerous clients at trials, appeals and arbitrations as well as other proceedings. Alon has successfully argued in front of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario at the Arbitration and Appeal levels. Also, Alon has conducted motions, trials and appeals at various levels of Ontario Courts including the Superior Court, Divisional Court and Ontario Court of Appeal.

Primarily, Alon is involved with the important decisions on files, including strategic decisions, trial preparation and settlement discussions. Prior to incorporating Rooz Law Professional Corporation, Alon was a founding partner at a prominent personal injury law firm, Mazin Rooz Mazin, Barristers & Solicitors.

When not busy fighting for his many clients, Alon enjoys travelling and sports.
